I’ve been writing fanfiction for many years, founding the “Ares and Xena have a ‘thing’ webring.”  (Thanks to a change in the Webring com website, I lost management of that ring.)  I am well known (previously as Starbuck/Modern Starbuck) for Doctor Who fanfiction.
